Compared to last week: Steers over 500 Lbs. were unevenly steady with instances of 5.00 to 10.00 lower. Steers under 500 lbs. didn't have enough comparable trades to test trends but a low undertone was noted. Heifers were unevenly steady. Quality was plain to average. Demand was moderate. A few buyers not in attendance showed slightly in the market. Slaughter cows 3.00 to 9.00 lower and slaughter bulls 2.00 lower. Much needed rainfall is projected throughout the end of the week as dry conditions continue to impact the area. Supply included: 88% Feeder Cattle ( 39% Steers, 34% Heifers, 28% Bulls); 7% Slaughter Cattle ( 88% Cows, 12% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle ( 85% Bred Cows, 3% Bred Heifers, 10% Cow-Calf Pairs, 1% Bulls).
