Compared to last week: Feeder steers 4.00-10.00 higher. Feeder heifers 2.00-7.00 higher. Stocker type cattle 600-700 lbs mostly sold on Tuesday as calves: steers 5.00-10.00 lower and stocker type heifers mostly steady. Demand good for feeders. Quality was average with few drafts of attractive cattle. Condition was mostly in the buyer's favor. Steer calves over 500 lbs 5.00-10.00 lower, under 500 lbs unevenly steady. Heifer calves over 500 lbs 5.00-10.00 lower, under 500 lbs 15.00-20.00 lower. Calf quality was noticeably lower this week compared to last week, which contributed to the softer market. With many farmers occupied in the fields and rain forecasted across the trading area, calf buyer interest was limited. Tuesday's supply included 69% un-weaned cattle. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle ( 53% Steers, 41% Heifers, 7% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 66%.USDA market reporter, El Reno, OK
