Compared to last Wednesday: Too light a test on slaughter lambs today, no comparison. Slaughter ewes were mixed. Light ewes 3.00 higher, heavier ewes 18.00 lower. Light hair ewes sharply higher. Most of the auction consisted of smaller strings. Good demand. Supply included: 0% Feeder Sheep/Lambs ( 100% Hair Lambs); 55% Slaughter Sheep/Lambs ( 37% Wooled & Shorn, 48% Hair Breeds, 7% Ewes, 5% Hair Ewes, 3% Rams, 1% Hair Rams); 2% Replacement Sheep/Lambs ( 48% Ewes, 48% Hair Ewes, 4% Rams); 0% Feeder Goats ( 100% Kids); 37% Slaughter Goats ( 49% Kids, 20% Nannies/Does, 6% Bucks/Billies, 25% Wethers); 5% Replacement Goats ( 100% Nannies/Does).USDA market reporter, Kalona, IA
